What:  A tatting get together!! 

 

Skill Levels:  

    Beginners - Patti is willing to teach a beginners class.

    Some Experience -  Patti is willing to help/answer questions.  If you have something specific to ask, please note it with your RSVP.

Hairpin Lace class in Moscow Idaho

April 14, 2012, the Appaloosa Lace Guild hosted a hairpin lace class it was from 10 AM to 3PM.

Teneriffe Lace

Teneriffe Lace Meeting for the Appaloosa Lace guild was held on Jan 14, 2012 at Fairview Good Samaritan. The program taught by Susan Shea will include exploring the history of Teneriffe lace, looking at samples of lace brought from Kathleen Warnick’s lace collection which is currently at the Leila Old Historic Costume Collection at the University of Idaho, and making a medallion using Kathleen’s instructional booklet. Kathleen taught lace making classes in the 1980’s and 90’s for the University of Idaho Extension Service. Fortunately, she has preserved those documents, so we will use them to make our own creation.

How to create aTemari Ball

Please use the following link for starting the Temari Ball.  I have 32 styrofoam balls size 2.5 inches that I will bring to the meeting on Tuesday Jan 17th.  If you want to  get your own ball, and get the ball wrapped before then, you may.  Please stop when you get to the simple S-4 design.  I will bring a few other patterns with me if you would like to make a different ball.
